Ive been watching
Atlanta season 3 (ok side stories) “is your dad’s name Hugs” <— tthis goes down in history as some of the most ironic shit ever. White folks written by non white folks is what I am here for.
South Side - is the buddy show that is here to save the day
Better Things (final season) - I loved this show and I have taken it wioth a grain of salt because it is beautiful and painful and the story is rich and nuanced and had levels BUT we dont talk about the MONEY seriously they are so fuckin rich it kills me. Also, who the fuck cleans the kitchen after making all that food? I was fine with the series finale although I wonder the deeper meaning behind why the bff got remarried to that shit head.
Sherman’s Showcase comedy
Bob’s Burgers
The Great North
Bridgerton
waiting on P Valley season 3 PLEASE!
Snowfall - I loved the first two seasons but as this thing went on it got ridiculous (
Abbott Elementary
Life and Beth - Amy Schumer gettin dramatic and I like it. She has matured into an actress and I am into it.
Someone Somewhere with Bridget Everett (my queen) nothing bad at all about this show. I love seeing town weirdos (like me) doing shit.
MUSIC
I’m obsessed with Cat Stevens ( I know i know) Wild World - very nostalgic for me
TLC - crazy sexy cool album - my kids and I switched on the 100% throwbacks station and Waterfalls came on and we all spontaneously started singing it in our own world…. my life was perfect in that moment. A mom, and two kids (14 & 9) wistfully singing “don’t go chancing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to”. We have also been loving “Unpretty” I remember buying Mac makeup in college and singing this song to myself. I told myself that I didn’t need to buy so much makeup but I did anyway. I drove all the way to Cananda to get that Mac made in Cananda shit on Robson. Yes, Chilly was right - “if you can’t look inside you, and find out who am I to - be in a position to make you feel so unpretty” I didn’t have much self love when I was a teenager, hearing the words of empowerment were important for me to hear. At that time cis hetero normativity was gthe name of the game. Anything queer was absolutely ridiculed, but I had no words to talk about it.
Peace and booty grease,
